DD Autosports

Japanese Tuning Specialists

DD Autosports, not only pride themselves on the success of their own acheivements, but with the success of their customers as well.

The company consists of the father and son combination of Dave Perry junior and senior, with senior's passion for cars beginning with many race victories in the Porsche racing series a few years ago.

Coming from a successful motorsport background, he decided to put all his racing knowledge into practice and set up a Porsche only specialist garage, named 930.

930 enjoyed fantastic success in the Porsche tuning world and mirrored with their reputation for producing some of the fastest and downright crazy Ford RS's and Renault Turbo's people had ever seen.

The future looked great for 930, but there was an un-invited guest to the party that changed the face of 930 forever.

Senior began to notice a shift in the Sports and Fast Road market with more and more Japanese sports cars being imported into the UK and with some careful R & D, discovered that the tuning capability of this new breed of sports car was second to none.

In 1996, DP Motorsport was created and ventured into the Japanese market, offering parts and tuning packages for all the popular makes and models from the Eastern market, ranging from the 1.3 litre Toyota Starlett upto the much larger, 3.0 litre Nisan 300zx and Toyota Supra.

During their time, DP Motorsport was successful in  tuning some of the quickest cars in the UK, with several UK records set by their customers GTiR's.

In 2007, senior sadly decided to step back from the tuning world to give him more time to setup a new venture but 2 years later came back with a vengeance.

Junior started out as an apprentice back in 1996 with DP Motorsport.  He worked alongside and was trained by some of the best names in the tuning industry whilst gaining more automotive certificates than he cares to mention.

Junior has gained a fantastic reputation in the tuning industry and is proud to have built some of the most respected modified cars around.  He pays a lot of attention to detail and his innovative ideas are second to none.

In 2009, DD Autosports formed and came back with a vengence by beating their own quarter mile time to set a new Quickest GTiR in the UK record of 10.6.

2010 brings new opportunites to DD Autosports and with lots of research and development already in place, confidence is high that a 9 second quarter mile time is not a million miles away.
